The brutal Russian attack on Ukraine has been both a huge shock and a personal tragedy to our Finnish-Ukrainian team. Our first priority has been to get our team member Iryna’s family to safety from Kiev. The support our Myssy Friends have showed us has deeply touched us, and many of you have been extremely helpful by generating ideas on how Myssy could help Ukraine in these difficult times. 

For a week now, we’ve been hosting three new Ukrainian family members here at our farm. Irina’s family is finally safe, but homesick and devastated by the situtation. Now it is time we do something by launching our Slava Ukraini headband to show support and raise funds. In these photos, the our Ukrainian family members themselves are posing. And Myssy Grannies have all gathered together to knit these headbands with love and care. 

By purchasing our Slava Ukraini headband, you are joining our efforts to help this important cause. All the profits will be donated to a fund chosen by the Ukrainians: the Come Back Alive Foundation that is helping all the Ukrainians in danger and as well as the Ukrainian army. The foundation's mission is “limited to supplying technology, trainings, and accouterments to help save lives of Ukrainians and help our warriors defend Ukraine.”

P.S. The price of the headband is 34 euros including VAT 24%. All  the profits, 20 euros per headband, is donated directly to the Come Back Alive Foundation.

All of our garments are made from Finnsheep wool, produced in conjunction with our responsible partners. Similar in softness to Merino, the fiber's overlapping scales point inward making the yarn particularly soft, and in our opinion, there is no finer wool in the world!

High quality garments and accessories are hand-knit by local retired ladies known as The Myssy Grannies. These cheerful ladies are the essence of our brand, knitting their own positive energy and wisdom into every stitch, even hand signing each Myssy piece they finish.

This headband is One Size / M and it fits 85% of our customers. It fits well for hat sizes between 54 to 59 cm. Each Myssy is unique, and though all our grannies work off from the same size chart, not all hats are precisely the same.

All Myssy hats should feel a little tight in the beginning, the hat adjusts to the size and shape of your head within the first week of use.

If you are unsure of the size or you know you will need a larger size, you can always leave a comment while sending your order in and let us know you would like to have a bigger variation. We will do our best to take this into account!
