Organic Food from the Fields of Myssyfarmi
In addition to Myssy garments, Myssyfarmi is a producer of organic food products. We farm about 200 hectares of organic fields here in the Pöytyä area, specializing in oil seeds and protein crops such as green peas. We also grow organic barley, wheat and oats that are processed in the local mill. Our products include Virgin Turnip Rapeseed Oil, Hulda green peas, Pea Crush and Pea Flour - all organic.
Crushed Peas
Our farm’s pea products were originally launched as a Finnish equivalent for soy crumbles, and contain as much protein as the average minced meat (18/100grams). They can be used to cook organic veggie balls, falafels or risotto with our 'Hernerouhe' pea crush, simply mix the crush with hot water and salt and let it puff up for 10 minutes before mixing it in.
Nordic Farming culture
Myssyfarmilla meitä ajaa eteenpäin vankka usko suomalaisen maatalouden menestysmahdollisuuksiin ja puhtaan ruoan merkitykseen terveydelle. Me haluamme olla etujoukoissa viemässä maataloutta kohti kestävämpää ja kannattavampaa suuntaa. Näkemyksemme mukaan erikoistuminen on ainut vaihtoehto - me suomalaiset maajussit emme koskaan pärjää bulkkikilpailussa muita maita vastaan.
