Hilma was born in 1951 in Kyrö, Karinainen, and currently resides in Kyrö, which is now a part of Pöytyä. Her first Myssy was completed in 2021, and before she started making Myssy hats, Hilma worked in various office jobs. Knitting is a very enjoyable activity for Hilma, and as a Myssy Granny, she feels useful and happy to be a part of this community.
In addition to the Myssymummo community, Hilma is a member of the church choir, the Martta organization, and the retirees' association. In her free time, Hilma particularly enjoys singing. Hilma's motto is "you get wiser by accident." To other Myssy Grannies, Hilma would like to say that it's a gift to be able to turn their love into stitches year after year.
