Sinikka, born in 1945, comes from Pöytyä and has been a Myssy Granny since 2017. In Sinikka’s opinion the best thing about being Myssy Granny is of course the knitting. She appreciates that she gets to knit every day at her own pace while taking it easy and chatting with her goldfish. Sinikka has been taught to knit by her own mother and she also learned it in school.
In addition to knitting, Sinikka spends her free time at several courses, e.g. doing ceramics and gymnastics. Sinikka is known to be skilled in many different crafts and you can notice that when visiting her home.
Terveiset Lehtisen Sinikalle.

Dear Sinikka,
Thank you so much for knitting so beautifully, my birch yellow socks, which have hardly been off my feet except for the summer heatwave…I have just very carefully washed them for the first time and now the weather is finally cooler and damp they are back on my feet.
They have thoroughly spoiled me for socks now and I don’t wish to wear any other socks except Myssy Finnish wool socks…they fit perfectly and are so cosy in all my boots and slippers, especially knowing hat they are lovingly hand knitted from organic super soft but lustrous Finnish landrace wool.
Looks like I’m going to have to buy or knit another pair this winter as they are now absolutely essential to surviving a wet, miserable English winter!
Looking forward to seeing the new Myssy autumn winter range tomorrow, but thank you for being a Myssy Mormor! Happy knitting!
