Satu

Satu was born in Karinainen in 1958 and has lived in Naantali Merimasku for nearly 50 years. The idea of becoming a Myssy Granny had been on Satu's mind during her working life, and she indeed became one in the autumn of 2022.

In her youth, Satu used to knit various items. Later, she became passionate about sewing for years. However, she found sewing to be somewhat too solitary in the long run, as it involved sitting alone at the sewing machine, so she returned to knitting, which she can do anywhere.

The best part of being a Myssy Granny, according to Satu, is meeting others who share the same hobby and, of course, the joy of knitting. In her free time, Satu spends time with her grandchildren and her dog. She mentions that she goes to a cottage up north with her husband, and during those car rides, she ends up knitting many socks. Satu's life motto is, "Forward, said the granny in the snow!"
