Introducing the star of the season: Finn Collection! All products of the Finn Collection are made in Finland of 100% vegetable tanned Finnish sheep leather and 100% chrome-free Finnsheepskin. The products have been sewed in Loviisa ja finalized in Pöytyä, Finland. And soon it will no longer exist, Finn Collection is the last of its kind.
Finn Collection is swimming upstream and cherishing something that will soon disappear from Finland. After we finalized the collection last November for the pre-sale period, a lot has happened within the Finnish sheep & leather economy. First the Finnsheep farms were cut of farming subsidies for traditional biotopes, then the last remaining leather tannery went bankrupt, next the last remaining sheepskin tannery went out of business and topping on the cake, our subcontracting sewing factory is also quitting. So yes, there is a very limited number of items available in this collection.
However, this is not a lamentation hymn. This is a hymn of praise. What an extraordinary collection it is possible to create out of Finnish materials, design and craftsmanship! Let’s enjoy the glory of it! Our love to Finnsheep and Finnish craftsmanship will never die.
