The story of Myssy has come to an end. Throughout our incredible journey a huge amount of people has been enabling our growth and success. It is time to say thank you.
The Myssy brand won in Vuoden Huiput twice with our grand old men, Erkki Mikola and Petri Uusitalo that played a central role in crystallizing our mission. Bringing warmness to the world of fashion and business. The first brand photos were taken by Petteri Mäntysaari, our epic brand films were produced by Mama Creative and in recent years all our editorial photos, brand films and graphics have been mastered by Albert Romppanen. Proxy renewed our logo and took us to the next level. The best retail years our products were displayed in furniture designed by Sallasmaa&Norokytö. Samuli Hellman build our first shopify shop and was always there to help. As Myssy grew into a huge phenomenon, the same influencers always stood on our side: Satu Rämö, Noora Shingler, Henriikka Reinman, Hanne Kettunen and Dorit Salutskij.
We never have been able to take Finnsheep wool so far without the farms of Rintala, Vaahermäki, Jokela and Tolvila estate. In retail Markus Mäkinen and Hanna-Mari Anttonen of Partioaitta helped us out in so many ways - and till the end. In Stockmann it was Anu Kurki and Sokos Sanna Söderlund that really made the sales fly with. Good times. Mari Rouvi of Fiskars was always ready for new ambitions projects. In the Japanese market Yoko Dahlman has worked with for a decade and the are some many loyal Myssy Friends out there in North America, Europe and Asia. And when it comes to business gifts, we never forget Tytti Multala of Verman and Liisa Kauppinen of Remedy.
Our Grannies, our Myssy Grannies! What a source of power they have been till the end. Over 100 retired ladies participated in this story putting their own talent, face and personality at stake. Some of them have passed away, but the story of Anneli, Aino, Senja and many others will live on in thousands of beanies around the world. At the moment the length of service of Soili is 13 years and more than 7000 Myssy beanies - and she still knit for us this week.
We have a huge amount of minority stakeholders that have enabled this journey and a quarter of them are Finnish farmers that saw the value of our work. For a decade we had professional board with high level experts in it. Mirkku Kullberg, Jukka-Pekka Vuori, Nicolas Fogelholm, Markko Vaarnas, Iiro Kormi, Samuel Latvanen, Jyrki Lämsä and Juuso Enala are still Myssy Friends.
A women can leave Myssy, but Myssy will always stay in the heart of Maiju Pohjola, Iina Tuominen, Päivi Kankaro, Kristiina Ilkka, Kaisa Pauna and Jaana Rauhansuu. Our lates Dream Team Hanna Jauhiainen, Iryna Shvets, Mari Rintala and Paula Väisänen have all been with us for years. Hanna and Iryna have already found their new teams, but once a Myssy gal, always a Myssy gal.
We always had secret superpowers, like Pertti Anttila who never got tired of taking Helsinki people on a tractor ride or sacrificing his Aurajoki field for photshootings. And no one walks a sheep on the main street like Pertti. And the who society was supporting us, baseball club, ski club and county.
This story ends Sunday, but there is still hope that it will live on somewhere else in some other form.
