Dear Myssy Friend,

We have made a decision to focus on our core business - handmade accessories and garments knitted with love by the Myssy Grannies. Kill your darlings, they say. Now it is time to say goodbye to the Myssy Knitkits and start the clearance -30%. New autumn will bring new Myssy and return to the roots. 

A concept that Lafayette wanted

Our KnitKits are an exclusive concept that we have built with love and devotion during the first months of pandemic. The launch took off like a rocket making it to the Christmas Catalogue of Galeries Lafayette within the first year. The beautiful Knitkit box holds literally all that it takes to make a perfect Myssy accessory or knitwear, which makes it easy to succeed in making something ready with your very own hands. The concept is somewhat genius and for a while it seemed like KnitKits will become our main product line in the future. We came from the competitive world of fashion with our strong brand, design first and decided to revolutionize the knitting business!  

Minor role for a major experience

But when you try to grow your business internationally with a small team and two product lines, one is always left with a minor role. Our legendary Muffi beanie KnitKit is a bestseller from season to season, the Lato sweater was a phenomenon and now the Kuohu collection is the most loved one. Yet when Myssy succeeded in a showroom at the Paris fashion week, KnitKits were placed on the lower shelf - and the minor role stayed. 

The story of thousands of people learning to knit again

Even though our KnitKits were not the first ones on the knitting market, they were the first ones in Finland. Thousands of people mastered their very first knit being guided and inspired by our KnitKits. For the more experienced knitters the concept offered access to contemporary designs and Finnsheep wool that could not be bought elsewhere. We are really proud and happy about the story of Myssy KnitKit, but they say kill your darlings and we do. 

Goodbye KnitKits! We are ready to ship the rest of the KnitKit storage to our knitting Myssy Friends to bring the joy of succeeding in knitting.
