This year 2017 the first six months have included quite a lot of new opportunities for Myssyfarmi. We started our year in January at the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin and from there continued to Innatex near Frankfurt. By that time, we decided to join the Lifestyle Finland program by Finpro, the organization helping Finnish SMEs go international. Practically, it meant that already in April and May, Myssyfarmi presented its products both in Tokyo and Seoul with great results. This fall, Myssys made by local grannies, will be sold both in Japan and South Korea. Especially, the innovative Myssy package got a lot of praise from the Asian buyers who tend to fall for the details. After Asia, there were still two showrooms to come in June before the farm’s summer break: one in London and the other one in Copenhagen.
The event in Copenhagen was 3 days of Design. It took place in this beautiful design hub called Design Werck - a meeting point and showroom for selected contemporary Scandinavian design. We got a chance to visit this place of inspiration already in February and meet lovely Birgitte and her husband, making us feel warmly welcomed.
This time it was with a great group of other Finnish brands with their unique products and stories varying from our wool accessories all the way to bicycles and furniture. These brands offer great products to style your home or to look nice on the streets. Actually, one of the coolest things about the Lifestyle Finland program has been to get to know all these great people and brands.
If you want to make your home personal, start by using unique designer wallpaper by FEATHR, add wooden design furniture by Nikari and modern kids furniture by Lumokids.
In kitchen, you can use Magisso's innovative design kitchenware, linen textiles like tablecloths by Pisa Design, add trays and other leather design products by Gedigo and finalize with an indoor garden by Platui to have something fresh. While sitting a on couch under the warm wool blankets by Lango Home, leaning to Bonden Living's cushions and sipping NORD-T's tea from craft tea blends you can lay your eyes on the magical wilderness prints by Teemu Järvi. To polish up, add Finarte's rugs on the floor, Lovi's wooden decorations on the tables and attach Secto Design's iconic wooden lighting to the ceiling.
When you go out to the local streets in Copenhagen or somewhere else, you can grab the cool city bike from Pelago, take the belongings to a leather bag back from Kasperi and finalize your look with the hand-made wood jewellery from Aarikka. Don't forget a Myssy neither.
